Overview: Roofing and Sustainable Systems, Inc. (RSSi) is a small commercial/government roofing contractor specializing in a wide variety of roof replacement projects including built-up, modified, EPDM, TPO, PVC, shingle, slate, metal, tile, and various coatings. RSSi is certified by various material manufacturers including Firestone, Soprema, Versico, Carlisle, Johns Manville, and GAF. RSSi's facility is equipped with a full metal fabrication shop which allows us to fabricate custom metal trim, copings, hoods, caps, pitch pockets, radius coverings, and wall panels for facades. In addition, RSSi also performs roof surveys which include repair/replacement budgets for Owners and Property Management firms.

Safety: The construction industry can be challenging from a safety standpoint. At Roofing and Sustainable Systems, Inc., we understand this. That is why we employ stringent safety measures. Prior to mobilizing, we assess the potential hazards for each task of each phase of each project. Safety training, observation programs, Accident Prevention Plans, Activity Hazard Analysis evaluations, and Toolbox talks are just some of the tools and procedures we use companywide to help employees prevent incidents from ever occurring. We believe that the safety of our employees is of utmost importance and this responsibility rests on everyone’s shoulders. Each employee, regardless of job or location, has the responsibility to speak up when they see something that causes a safety concern. This increases everyone’s safety awareness and ultimately allows each of us to go home safely to our family and friends at the end of each work shift.
Quality Control: We take pride in what we do, and we take great care to use the best materials and techniques in completing our jobs. It is the policy of RSSi to clearly define and meet quality requirements throughout all activities of each Contract and to actively promote continuous improvement in every aspect of our business. We utilize the three phase control concept established by the Corps of Engineers to set controls and reporting procedures for each definable feature of work. Our Quality Control Manager, a Registered Roof Observer (RRO), is responsible for the oversight of this policy and ensures that all work accomplished by all building crafts complies with the Contract requirements and Owner’s expectations. Through effective quality control, RSSi instills employee pride which translates to a reputation and recognition for quality work.
